What is Bouldering?
Bouldering is a form of climbing, involving walls up to 4.5 meters high above crash mats. There are no ropes, so the only equipment you need is a pair of shoes - which can be hired while checking in for your session. We love bouldering due to its accessibility
Bouldering involves falling onto crash matts. There are no ropes in bouldering and the only equipment you need is a pair of shoes which can be hired when checking in for your session. We love bouldering because it is the most accessible form of climbing and taps into the innate human desire to climb things, because at the end of the day climbing is super fun!
Ok, How do I do it?
To boulder you can either book a session and come figure it out for yourself, or if you want a little help with the basics you can book onto one of our introductory courses. All climbers need to fill out a saftey waver when they register. The way it works is you climb on holds where each route is made up of holds of the same colour plastic holds. The holds to start your hands on and the hold to finish on will be marked by coloured tape. The difficulty of the climb is indicated by our colour scale with white being the most accessible climbs and Orange being the hardest.
